Everyone else practises being a good listener by remembering to:
* Sit up
* Look at the speaker
* Have there treasure behind their back
The person sharing asks the class if there are any questions or comments and we are working towards asking questions that find out more information, or making an interesting comment that we can reply to.
Every week a new person will feature on our class blog with the shared writing we have completed.
I wonder who it will be each week?

Safia's Japanese Doll
Safia brung a precious doll from Japan.
She likes it because she was born in Japan.
It has a hat like a drum on her head.
Olive thought it looked like it was "twirling".
The big, long skirt is pink. It has shapes on its top. It is standing up tall on a stand.
Safia likes her doll because it has beautiful blue eyes.
What do you think of Safia's Japanese Doll?

Ted's Possum Skin
Ted brought a smooth bit of possum skin.
He got it from a market in Christchurch and a man was making clothes with possum skin.
It was really fluffy on the furry side but on the other side it was leathery. It is light and dark brown in colour.
He bought it because Bear Grylls ate possum and he wanted to show us what possum skin looks like.
We wanted to know if Ted had seen a possum alive before but he hadn't. He has seen one dead before though and touched the dead one too.
We also want to know what Ted will do with his piece of possum skin? He thinks he might make something warm with it or turn it into something that keeps an animal nice and warm - maybe!!!
What great treasure Ted, I wonder what other people think about your possum skin

Izaac's Ostrich Egg
Izaac brought a delicate ostrich egg today for treasure news.
We found out from Izaac that it can hold 18 eggs inside. He told us he knows this because his Dad told him.
It is his Dad's egg but he didn't know where he got it from.
It is his Dad's egg but he didn't know where he got it from.
Isabella asked Izaac "Why does it have a hole in it?" Izaac shared with us that that is where the baby ostrich might have come out of it.
We looked at the egg's colour and Leila thought it was "a skin coloured egg". We thought that was a good observation.
When Izaac had finished talking about the egg, Harry made the comment "I like your egg", which Izaac replied "Thanks Harry".
What do you think of Izaac's treasure?
Thank you for putting that on
